Mining applications

The use of FiReP FRP rock bolts in mines
is increasing from year to year and FRP rock bolting is becoming one of the most common support systems in the worldwide mining industry. Today most FRP rock bolts are used in coal mines because they provide the necessary support, but can easily be cut and do not impede the excavation of coal.

• Support in rock

• Temporary application with cutting ability

• Permanent application with high durability

• Slope stabilization

• Strata support

• Back-anchoring

Tunneling Application

FiReP FRP Rockbolts are corrosion resistant and
therefore the only currently available rock bolt system
which can be regarded as permanent even under difficult conditions
with aggressive water and rock deformations.

Because of the durability of the materials, FiReP FRP Rock bolt Systems
can be utilized not only as temporary support, as with regular steel rock bolts,
but also integrated into the calculations for the final load-bearing structure.
In-situ concrete shells can therefore be reduced or even eliminated.

Civil engineering and construction applications

Corrosion of steel is a growing problem in the maintenance of
concrete structures, especially for infrastructural buildings.
The annual costs for maintenance and repair of infrastructural concrete structures
due to corrosion of steel are steadily increasing.
Today large annual costs must be invested worldwide.

FiReP REBAR can offer environmentally friendly solutions and
propose significant cost reduction of repair and maintenance.
